Hi. My name is Simone de Mari. I’m from Italy but living in New Zealand.

I’m a C-5 spinal cord injury incomplete. I had my accident surfing and I just hit my head in the sand. After 9 months of my accident, I decided to come over here and to give it a go, this treatment. And it was actually quite beneficial. I regained a lot of trunk movement.

Before, I was pretty much strapped in a chair. I regained full bladder sensitivity. I gained a lot of strength in this arm, which was really, really weak. So far, it’s been really worth doing it.

I was supposed to go back 6 months after that but unfortunately COVID hit so I had to wait two years to come back and I just finished my second treatment. I’m already looking forward to see what’s going to happen next.
